Senta is dying. That's no surprise. All of the Prolem have been dying since the day they were born. The crystals growing within Senta's body—killing her slowly and surely—will help power the great desert city of Adenium, so it's a sacrifice she gladly makes for her people. Not that she has much choice. But all Senta really wants is to forge new paths for the Prolem outside the Facility walls where they're kept under close guard. And then one day Senta sees something she wasn't meant to, and everything she thought she wanted burns to ash.
