The House with a Hundred Doors

Anwen will do anything for her clever, independent young daughters, and when she is forced into an arranged marriage that will take them from her, all she can think to do is run. With the vengeful would-be groom at their heels, Anwen seeks refuge in the sprawling old house of an aging king named Cade, who reluctantly agrees to let them stay with one condition: never open any of the house’s closed doors.
The sappy, love-starved house has been waiting lifetimes for someone to revive its dusty rooms, and to save Cade from his failing mind and body. When Anwen’s precocious youngest daughter skips into their life, the house flips its floorboards with joy and guides her to the first closed door.
Behind the doors are new worlds both enchanting and perilous, and the family quickly realizes Cade is much more than he seems. But with pursuers still lurking outside the gates, waiting for their opportunity to take Anwen’s freedom and separate her from her children, Anwen must decide if it’s time to stop running for good, step into the unknown, and risk her family’s safety for the chance at a loving—and decidedly more magical—life with Cade.
